I am a passionate teacher who grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley. After graduating from Basalt High School in 2005, I attended Fort Lewis College where I studied political science & philosophy. I graduated Suma Cum Laude. After a year off in Telluride, Colorado, I then went on to attend Colorado State University where I earned a Master's Degree in Education. I returned to the our lovely valley shortly after to work as an assistant teacher at Aspen Country Day. This is my fourth year at Basalt High & I'm thrilled to be here!
I love it when students & parents reach out to me! You can best contact me via email. You can keep up with what's going on in my classes at basalthsworldhistory.blogspot.
I'm a proud graduate of Basalt High! Go Longhorns! In high school & college, I was an avid athlete. I played soccer & ran cross country for my beloved Skyhawks at Fort Lewis College. I am a first generation American with two proud Scandinavian parents and two siblings that both currently live in Sweden. I love to run, hike, play soccer, swim, and practice yoga. I'm also a big Harry Potter & Hunger Games nerd. When I'm not outside, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my little wiener dog, Toby.
